As an Intern at Corient, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the tax / accounting industry while supporting our Tax team.

Duration : January - May (with flexibility)

20-30 hours per week (with flexibility)

Location : St. Petersburg, FL

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, trust, estate, gift, foundation, and business tax returns on a timely basis.
• Review tax source documents and data pushed through OCR for accuracy.
• Conduct tax research to support tax planning and compliance efforts. Be proactive and stay current on new tax legislation and tax reform.
• Assist with handling Federal and State Tax notices and audits.
• Maintain detailed and organized tax files, including documenting all relevant information and supporting documents for tax returns.
• Collect and input relevant financial records into tax return software or databases.
• Analyze tax data submitted by clients to maximize the outcome to the client.
• Support the tax planning process for clients and members of the Tax team.
