Shenandoah University’s Office of Pharmacy Practice is accepting applications for an Assistant / Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice.

This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

The primary responsibilities of the Faculty / Clinical Specialist will be the provision of inpatient pharmacy services collaborating with a behavioral health and psychiatry team, focusing on transitions of care as well as acute and chronic disease management in this patient population.

Practice responsibilities will encompass a broad range of behavioral health and psychiatric disorders. The faculty member will also serve as a preceptor for IPPE and APPE students and PGY1 residents.

Didactic teaching will occur within Shenandoah’s therapeutic modules and patient assessment skills series, but may also occur within other courses or laboratories.

Service and scholarship responsibilities will be determined by faculty rank as required to accomplish career contract

The candidate should possess a Pharm.D. degree and be eligible for pharmacy licensure in the State of Virginia. The candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of clinical pharmacy practice, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work within innovative pharmacy practice models.

A pharmacy practice (PGY1) residency with an emphasis in Acute Care Pharmacy or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience in pharmacy practice is required;

a specialty residency (PGY2) or fellowship training are preferred. Candidates with prior academic or institutional practice experience are encouraged to apply.
