Inspections Underwriter
The Inspections Underwriter is accountable for the end-to-end inspection reports processing and requirements tracking / follow-through. In the case of COCs, the Inspections Underwriter acts as the project coordinator. Additionally, the Inspections Underwriter is responsible for setting the inspection schedule and working closely and proactively with the general contractor and PURE Risk Management Team. The Inspections Underwriter will maintain broker partnerships by delivering exceptional, timely, complete, accurate and empathetic service throughout the Risk Management process.
What You'll Do
- Meet or exceed KPI objectives for completing service queue tasks to ensure timely processing of inspection reports and superior service delivery on related inquiries
- Track and manage COCs according to key project stages from new business to project completion
- Complete initial quality review of inspection reports and work with PURE Risk Management or vendors to resolve issues to ensure accuracy prior to processing
- Review ratings, protection credits and underwriting ratios to determine appropriate adjusted premium based on inspection findings
- Process required endorsements and changes within stated underwriting authority, seeking prior approval from Programs Underwriting when necessary
- Review the account and inspection report to keep, waive or add requirement decisions
- Proactively communicate inspection findings, related changes, and requirements to the broker and new business underwriter
- Ensure the follow-through of requirements by tracking, following-up and taking necessary underwriting action if not met by the stated due dates
- Work with the new business underwriter to mid-term cancel or non-renew unfavorable risks identified during the inspection process
- Serve as the PURE Programs point of contact for issue resolution, status requests, and other Risk Management service opportunities
- Assist customers and brokers with common loss prevention recommendations and requirements by providing information regarding fulfillment resources
- Other relevant responsibilities and tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
Individuals that demonstrate integrity and establish trust through creditabilityA bachelor's degree is preferredCurrent P&C and E&S broker licenses preferred, must obtain within first 90 days if you don't already possess them1+ years of underwriting, operations or risk management experience in the E&S and / or high net worth markets is preferredDemonstrated technical knowledge of relevant products, workflows and systemsStrong analytical, interpersonal, communication and negotiating skillsSelf-motivated team player with a desire to learn, grow and drive improvement in the organizationAbility to be creative and adaptable in a changing business environmentThe base salary for this role will start at $53,000 based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
