Manager - Technology & Data International Compliance
Join the Technology & Data International Compliance team in a Manager - Technology & Data International Compliance role. It is a crucial position which will be at the forefront of supporting key strategic initiatives and mitigating legal, regulatory, and business risks, including implementation of new governance processes for cross-border data transfer tracking and compliance, regulatory compliance program management, data mapping and analytics. This role is ideal for a professional who combines compliance acumen with technical fluency to bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and system-level execution. Reporting to the Director, International Digital Trust Compliance, the Manager of Technology & Data International Compliance will collaborate with technology, business, and Global Governance partners in the digital trust space to implement new governance implementation and processes.
What you'll do...
- Work with engineering, cybersecurity, data governance, business and legal stakeholders to embed privacy by design into systems and processes.
- Act as a subject-matter expert in privacy technology and architecture for business and technology stakeholders
- Cross-Border Data Transfer
Develop governance processes to identify and mitigate risks in global data movement.
Leverage existing risk assessment processes to flag changes in systems responsible for transfersCoordinate with Legal and Global Privacy SMEs to validate country-specific requirements and controls.Develop and implement internal standards and system-level guidance for global data movement.Design and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline risk assessments and audit workflows.Leverage machine learning and automation for data discovery, cross-border transfer tracking, detection of anomalies, policy violations, and potential compliance risks.Operations & Continuous ImprovementDesign metrics, dashboards, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms to monitor control effectiveness and demonstrate compliance.
Continuously evaluate emerging privacy-enhancing technologies and recommend integration into business systems.Build automated dashboards and reporting systems that integrate data across systems for compliance, risk, and AI performance monitoring.Maintain and update playbooks, procedures, and policies.Continuously improve workflows and processes for efficiency.Periodically reassess that controls remain effective and current.Integrate with Monitoring and Audit functions for cohesive line of defense accountabilityWhat you'll bring
Education and ExperienceBachelors in a technical field (information systems, engineering, etc.), project management, data science, or law, and 3+ years relevant experience (compliance, data governance, privacy, tech ops, or information security) OR
6+ years of equivalent relevant experienceBackgroundUnderstanding and hands-on experience with Global privacy regulatory landscape (PIPL, GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, DPDPA, etc.)
Expert level of understanding and hands-on experience of compliance processes and frameworks (e.g. NIST), technology change management, data governance, and data management / analysis.Hands-on experience with data discovery / classificationExtensive experience collaborating with business, technical, and legal teams on designing and implementation of compliance controls.Experience conducting PIAs / DIAs, vendor risk assessments, and technical audits.Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies such as differential privacy, anonymization, etc.Understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations from a compliance perspectiveExperience with of data management and data lineage requirementsSkillsExcellent analytical skills with data-driven decision-making

Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 2 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
