Pay Range

This range is provided by Seminole State College of Florida. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range : $60.00 / hr - $70.00 / hr

Responsibilities

Description : The Workforce Trainer delivers non-credit education through the Institute for Training department. May also design and develop curriculum for newly approved non-credit training / professional development courses.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and executes a strategy to create industry-aligned curriculum.
  • Conducts and / or teaches workshops, seminars, and courses, utilizing effective communication, classroom management, leadership, training, and teaching techniques.
  • Selects, maintains, and uses materials, supplies, and equipment required for effective teaching and training.
  • Assists in developing course curricula as requested.
  • Sets up classrooms with technology and manipulatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification or qualification related to course topic.
  • Experience working in the industry related to the course topic.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in delivering stimulating lessons and learning activities.
  • Ability to assess students' understanding of course material.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement competency-based learning.
  • Proficient in standard office software, including MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word) and familiar with MS Teams and Zoom.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and creativity.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations in a multicultural environment.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Work Environment and Additional Considerations

    Works in an office environment. The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned. This position is not eligible for Veteran's Preference.

    Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

    Minimum hourly rate is $35, subject to variation based on subject area, education, training, and experience.

    Conditions of Employment

    Finalists and new hires must reside in Florida and may undergo background checks and fingerprinting as per Florida law and college policies.
