Location : North Shore of Chicago

Compensation : $50,000–$60,000 annually + tips

Job Type : Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Catering Operations Manager to oversee and execute exceptional catered events throughout the North Shore of Chicago . This role is ideal for a hospitality-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead catering events ranging from 200–300 guests

Supervise and coordinate Front of House and Back of House staff , including servers and bartenders

Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown

Ensure seamless service and exceptional hospitality for clients and guests

Maintain clear communication with staff, clients, and internal teams

Drive company vehicles (cars, vans, and trucks) to and from event locations

Uphold company standards for professionalism, appearance, and service

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience leading large-scale catered events (200–300 guests)

Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills

Outgoing, friendly personality with excellent communication skills

Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure

Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality

Ability to supervise both FOH and BOH staff

Professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance required

Reliable transportation and clean driving record required

DUI within the past 7 years will not be hired and must be disclosed

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push / pull or carry catering equipment

Ability to walk or stand for extended periods (shifts range from 6–10 hours )

Certifications

Illinois BASSET and Food Handler Certifications required within 30 days of hire

Illinois Food Manager Certification required within 60 days of hire
