Soccer House is a purpose-built clubhouse for the game, designed to give fans the best way to watch, follow, and celebrate the game. From early-morning kickoffs to late winners, clásicos to cup finals, midweek fixtures, red cards, and cold rainy nights in Stoke, this is a place made to live with the full rhythm of the sport.

Position Summary

The Barista is responsible for delivering fast, precise, and welcoming café service during all morning and daytime hours. This role requires attention to detail, strong hospitality instincts, and the ability to work efficiently during peak service periods while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Baristas help set the tone for the day at Soccer House and are often the first point of contact for guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso and coffee beverages with speed, accuracy, and consistency
• Provide warm, professional service to seated guests and walk-up customers
• Create a welcoming café environment for both regulars and first-time visitors
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the coffee program, including beans, brewing methods, and ingredients
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver hospitality that encourages repeat visits
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and café areas at all times
• Follow all health, sanitation, and safety standards
• Restock café supplies including cups, lids, beans, syrups, and milk
• Operate POS systems
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and inventory tasks
• Communicate clearly with teammates to support smooth workflow during high-volume rushes
