Job descriptionDeveloping functional behavioral assessments and support plans Providing individual and group counseling Presenting psychotropic medications and behavior support plans to committees Training staff in behavior plan implementation and monitoring Providing referrals for psychiatric care and evaluations 2+ years of experience in BIS fieldwork Master's degree in psychology or related field BCBA certification is a plus Strong assessment and behavior support development skills Proficient in EMR systems, specifically PrecisionCare Ability to work flexible hours and travel within the metropolitan area Excellent communication and teamwork skills Organizational and time management skills Problem-solving abilities
A leading organization in New York City is currently seeking a dedicated Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) for its team in The Bronx and Manhattan. This full-time position offers a dynamic work environment in group homes, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the Opportunity :
- Shift : Day shift
- Schedule : Flexible, Monday to Friday, with options between 7 am - 3 pm, 8 am - 4 pm, or 9 am - 5 pm, and potential weekend work
- Hours : 37.5 hours per week
- Setting : Group Homes
