DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Health Care Nurse Surveyor, you will be responsible for performing professional assignments to evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations that pertain to long-term care health care providers and facilities. This work involves the evaluation of the quality of care provided to residents in long-term care facilities, and the investigation of complaints relative to the quality of care, quality of life, and services provided to residents. You will perform your work through the application of knowledge, established methods, practices, procedures, policies, and regulations related to the various professional disciplines in the health care field. In this position, you may be assigned to function independently, with a partner, as a member of a team, or as the designated team coordinator during on site surveys. T ravel will be required within the counties of Berks, Bucks, Lebanon, Lehigh, Northampton, Schuylkill, and Montgomery. Additionally, you will be required to carry a cell phone and respond to complaints during off-hours.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Irregular work hours and overtime as operationally necessary
• Frequent statewide and overnight travel required
• This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
• Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
