Ramp Service Agent
Ramp Service Agents (RSA) at Pegasus Aviation Services are responsible for marshalling aircraft in the gate, loading, unloading and sorting freight and baggage. RSAs are also responsible for servicing security functions, aircraft lavatories, potable water, push back aircraft from the gate, deicing and other duties as delegated. The RSA position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Customer Service Reps, Supervisors, or Ramp Managers.
Responsibilities
- Marshall aircraft on the ramp
- Service aircraft as needed including : lavatory service, water service, cabin cleaning, and other services as needed
- Aircraft de-icing / anti-icing
- Loading and unloading of aircraft baggage and cargo
- Perform safe and efficient operations of all ground service equipment
- Monitoring Security : observing, inspecting, monitoring, and screening all passengers, airport personnel, and crew regularly to detect any potential security breaches or safety hazards
- Prevent breaches of security in the area assigned and being prepared to promptly respond to any calls for assistance from the pilot or crew of any aircraft, addressing their concerns and needs swiftly and effectively
- Conducting comprehensive security screenings for departing passengers and their baggage
- Responsible for maintaining safety and security of aircraft
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
