About the Role

We are seeking an Expert IT Specialist (.NET) for a long-term, high-impact project in Albany, NY. The position involves designing, developing, and enhancing secure web applications using Microsoft technologies to support enterprise systems within the Department of Public Service.

This is a 30-month onsite hybrid role , ideal for a senior-level professional with deep .NET experience and strong architectural skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify system functionality per change requests using .NET C#, SQL Server, Oracle, and FileNet.
• Develop and enhance RESTful Web APIs and web applications utilizing ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework .
• Identify and correct performance issues in existing web applications.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on development best practices.
• Assist in defining software / hardware requirements for Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environments.
• Contribute to system upgrades, framework enhancements, and ongoing modernization efforts.
