Job descriptionLead a production team in a high-volume environment—coaching, scheduling, and removing roadblocks so people can do their best work. Drive safety, quality, and output using KPIs, tier meetings, and simple visual controls. Partner with maintenance, planning, and QA to hit plan, every shift. Triage issues fast, escalate smart, and document what you change so wins stick. Model a “calm under pressure” presence that sets the tone for the floor. Front-line leadership in manufacturing / operations (shift lead, team lead, or supervisor experience). Strong command of daily management tools (standard work, root cause, 5S, basic problem-solving). A coach’s mindset—clear expectations, fair accountability, consistent follow-through. Communicator and connector : you can align ops, maintenance, quality, and logistics without the turf wars. Bias for action : you don’t wait for perfect; you create momentum and measure results. OSHA-clean safety record and well-run Gemba. First-pass yield up, downtime down, schedule attainment on target. Turnover lower than benchmark because people feel led, not just managed. Simple, sustainable improvements that survive shift changes.
