Medical Records Director
Job Summary :
Meadowbrook Care Center, a 156-bed facility located in Northeast Cincinnati, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Records Director to join our team. As a Medical Records Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient records, while also promoting compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities :
Oversee the management of patient records, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
Ensure accurate and timely recording of patient information, including medical history, diagnoses, treatments, and test results
Develop and implement policies and procedures for record-keeping, data management, and confidentiality
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient care
Provide training and guidance to staff on medical records management and confidentiality
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as insurance companies and healthcare providers
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical records management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and industry standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and organizational skills
