Job description

"Angel" is in our company name. We are a heart-centered agency that cares for our caregivers and clients alike. Visiting Angels in White Plains, NY is looking for Live-in HHA / PCA / Companion caregivers who have dementia experience throughout Westchester County. Our Angels have named us an Employer of Choice for three years in a row!

Responsibilities may include :

Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.

Remind clients to take prescribed medication

Assist with ambulation / mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

Prepare meals

Perform light-housekeeping duties

Companionship and other activities to engage with client

Qualifications

Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

Take pride in providing high quality care

Ability to perform all essential job functions

Act in a compassionate and supportive manner

Available to work different shifts, including nights and / or weekends

Prior experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment

Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

Supportive and compassionate

High School Diploma or equivalent
