Consumer Loan Collections Specialist

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently hiring a Consumer Loan Collection Specialist position for a bank in the Midwest. They will assist with reaching out and advising customers by phone or mail in an attempt to collect on past due payments or make alternative arrangements.

Applicants will primarily be responsible for ensuring the collection process is accurately completed per mandatory state and investor timelines.

Applicants must possess strong data entry and administrative skills. Having experience in consumer loan servicing or mortgage default is a plus, but not required.

Applicants also must be proficient with basic computer skills, such as navigating Microsoft Excel and Word files, using PDFs and email.

This position will be hybrid in Akron, OH, and could be remote after a set period of time.

Required Skills :

• Strong Data entry and administrative skills
• Administrative background.
• Able to communicate effectively to customers, vendors and coworkers.
• Basic computer and math skills (Microsoft Excel / Word, Adobe Acrobat, Email) Preferred Skills
• Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in loan servicing environment with exposure to Mortgage Default.
• Experience at a financial institution, accounting firm, or law firm. Qualifications
