The Overnight In-Room Dining Server provides exceptional, personalized service to hotel guests by delivering food and beverages to guest rooms during overnight hours. Individuals applying for this position should be capable of working independently, as the majority of the shift will be ran individually with the hotel overnight team as support.
Key Responsibilities :
Promptly answer in-room dining calls, take guest orders accurately, and provide menu recommendations when requested.
Prepare, assemble, and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure trays, carts, and tables are set with proper presentation and according to service standards.
Handle all overnight room service requests, including late-night menu items and special guest accommodations.
Retrieve trays and carts from guest rooms and hallways while maintaining cleanliness in service areas.
Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Assist with restocking, inventory, and preparation for the following day’s service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the in-room dining area and pantry.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling guidelines.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications :
Required : Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work overnight shifts. Must possess excellent communication and time-management skills and be willing to work as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred : High school diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS :
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a manual dexterity and coordination to operate restaurant and office equipment and machines. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
