Position Overview
The Station Chef (Line Cook) is the hands-on core of the kitchen line. You will own a dedicated station—prepping, cooking, tasting, and finishing dishes to exact recipe specifications. This role is highly organized, detail-centric, and ideal for cooks who take pride in structure, speed, and consistency. You will work closely with the Line Chef and collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver smooth, disciplined service.
Responsibilities
Master Your Station
Complete daily setup, organization, and breakdown.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked workspace.
Execute Mise en Place
Complete all assigned prep tasks.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and FIFO rotation.
Cook with Precision
Prepare and execute dishes to exact recipe specs.
Maintain timing standards during service.
Taste, season, and visually check every plate before passing.
Uphold Standards
Follow sanitation and food safety protocols at all times.
Keep equipment and station tools in proper condition.
Communicate needs clearly and proactively to the Line Chef.
Be a Team Player
Assist teammates once core station duties are complete.
Support smooth service : run plates, help with prep, or jump into tasks as needed.
Maintain professional conduct : punctuality, focus, respect, and readiness.
Qualifications
Prior kitchen experience preferred, ideally in a structured, chef-driven environment.
Strong knife skills, cooking fundamentals, and station organization.
Able to work clean, fast, and with precision under pressure.
Detail-oriented, disciplined, and reliable.
Passion for consistency, technique, and culinary growth.
