Solutions Architect - Hybrid

TEKsystems is looking to hire a highly qualified solution architect with 5-10 years experience.

Responsibilities : Designing proof-of-concepts (POCs), Exploring new products, Selecting which tools / technologies to use, Testing the performance of existing technologies

We want the candidate to have experience on data bricks, Azure, Cosmos, and functions but what we are really looking for is someone who is able to make recommendations of what tools to use based on volume metrics and all those functional requirements. We need them to be able to propose technical stacks and explore new products and demonstrate how they fit the current environment. Someone with very good application development with the top skills listed is required.

As our client takes this cloud journey this resource is going to be dealing with research, Microsoft data bricks. Working with architects figuring out how they can bring a new product into the clients footprint. How they can bring existing pipelines and existing architecture into new architecture. Therefore they need someone who is passionate about technology and wants to build themselves for their future career path.

Even though this role is heavily focused on exploration and proofs of concepts the resource still needs to be able to meet a timeline.

Hybrid- M-W onsite. Long term contract.

Desired Experience :

• Experience building and designing data and analytics on enterprise solutions such as Azure - Data Factory, Log Analytics, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI, ADLS Gen2, Polybase and Machine Learning / AI.
• In-depth understanding of computer, storage, network components including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements.
• Previous experience in Power BI, Data Modeling, Data Classification and zones, data movement, Data architecture and reporting
• Preferred knowledge and experience on Python and API architecture in Azure
• Provides subject matter expertise and technical consulting support on either vendor or internal applications and interfaces.
• Interfaces with the Product Owner and IT partners at the Program level to define and estimate features for agile teams.
• Works within the SAFe Agile framework and employs ITIL best practices.
• Conducts industry research, facilitates new product and vendor evaluations, and assists in vendor selection.-
• Assists in production support and maintenance of applications as needed.
• Evaluates architectural options and defines overall architecture of the system, ensuring commonality across systems.
• Mentors and coaches other members of the agile and\or Run team.
• Drives engagement with ITS Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure development and deployment of solutions.
• Defines non-functional requirements including performance monitoring, alerting and code management, ensuring alignment with technology best practices and - SLAs.

Determines major elements and subsystems and defines interfaces as well as architectural runway.
