Certified Medical Assistant needed for busy Internal Medicine and Weight Loss Practice

Well regarded Internal Medicine Practice is searching for a dependable, knowledgeable, experienced Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of patient empathy, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.

This position does require someone who is a top-notch team player, and extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task at a fairly fast pace.

Office hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday 9am -1 pm. Applicant must be flexible to work varied combinations of hours to meet 40 hour per week.

All staff rotates to ensure coverage and maximize patient care.

Bilingual is a plus. Benefits are available to full time employees.

Full time and Part time positions are available

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO :

• Checking patients in and out
• preparation of exam rooms (including stocking and cleaning)
• Preparing patient and updating medical record prior to Medical Provider
• Vitals & recording of chief complaint, verification of current medications, pharmacy information, allergies, etc.
• Recording medical record to properly meeting all Quality Measures
• Administration of vaccines
• Phlebotomy
• Wound care and education
• Handling patient callbacks, refill requests and referrals (incoming and outgoing)
• Set up and preparation of patients for all telehealth visits
• Updating patient demographic information
• Assist with scheduling and telephone calls as needed
• Inventory
• Maintaining OSHA requirements
• Other Duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS :

• Completion / Certificate of Medical Assistant program
• Phlebotomy Certificate
• CPR certified
• Previous EMR / EHR experience
