Job Description
Under limited supervision, the role plans, coordinates, leads, and monitors quality improvement initiatives within clinical service departments and across the UMMC Downtown campus. Communicates with organization leadership, clinical teams, and other departments to drive organizational change toward high reliability and Zero Harm. Ensures awareness of and implements the QAPI program and Annual Operating Plan goals. Provides leadership to multidisciplinary teams to accomplish quality improvement strategies, and is accountable for overall quality of care and compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and disease-specific certifications. Collects and analyzes data, conducts presentations, provides consultation, staffs and leads committees, and promotes High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and a Just Culture.
The position encompasses roles such as subject matter expert, coordinator, educator, project manager, data analyst, and facilitator. It requires effective interpersonal, management and leadership skills, working knowledge of clinical workflows, and credibility with colleagues. Duties include working with clinical service departments on quality improvement strategies to enhance patient outcomes, maximize financial reward within pay for performance programs, and optimize Vizient Q&A dashboard rankings. The role collaborates with leadership, staff, advanced practitioners, and physicians to implement an organization-wide, planned approach to quality improvement and Zero Harm. It develops and maintains relationships with key medical staff and serves as a quality improvement resource for teams and staff across both campuses.

Pay Range : $40.61- $60.96
