Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to engineers on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and / or equipment
- Responsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies
- Work from moderately complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches
- Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditions
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations
- Perform Key Performance Indicators : Meet production deadlines Quality of finished product (Pass / fail rates) Raw material stock levels Compliance outcomes
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Qualifications
- Requires an associate’s degree and 2+ years of experience in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and wire lists
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must have good mechanical skills
- Soldering and wire bonding experience, preferred
- Must have knowledge of various test equipment
- Must pay close attention to details
- Must be able to comply with all safety and procedural rules
- Must have a basic knowledge of and ability to use computers, programs, and business tools
- Experience utilizing computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview, preferred
- MRP experience, preferred
- Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
