Eligibility Benefit Support Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who can manage the critical process of COBRA and Retiree billing for members who have elected to continue benefits. As our Eligibility Benefit Support Coordinator, you'll ensure seamless transitions and accurate billing while providing essential support during important life changes.

Process ownership : Take responsibility for end-to-end COBRA and Retiree billing processes that directly impact member experience
Accuracy emphasis : Maintain meticulous attention to detail in billing, enrollment, and reporting that affects members' financial obligations
Cross-functional coordination : Work with downstream vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless benefit continuation
What you'll actually do :
Manage member communications : Review and respond to emails regarding COBRA / Retiree and billing-related questions while providing clear, helpful guidance to members navigating benefit transitions.
Ensure billing accuracy : Resolve billing discrepancies through systematic report analysis while auditing COBRA / Retiree member bills before mailing to prevent errors.
Process enrollments efficiently : Handle COBRA enrollments and terminations while updating demographic changes and generating certificates on the same day manual enrollments or transfers are completed.
Coordinate vendor relationships : Send urgent access to care emails to downstream vendors for COBRA / Retiree members while processing vendor notifications and reviewing paid-through reports.
Maintain compliance reporting : Work on RCO Status CMS reports to ensure accuracy while running quarterly censuses to identify and resolve discrepancies related to statuses, rating structures, and billing tiers.
Handle financial transactions : Post COBRA / Retiree member payments accurately while processing refunds and returned checks for members requiring assistance.

In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour. Note that compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
