Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Assignment Type : Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing

Start Date : October 20, 2025

End Date : January 19, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM, 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2130 - $2190

Patient Population : Adult, Geriatric

Patient Ratios : 1 : 4 or 1 : 3

Electronic Health Record : Medhost

Call Requirements : Yes

Float Requirements : Medical Surgical and Telemetry units (ED holds as needed)

CVICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in the state of Arizona (Arizona RN jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent acute CVICU nursing experience

Previous travel nurse or locum tenens experience required

Ability to work flexible 12-hour shifts (day or night)

Proficient in care for STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, CABG pod 2, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, ALIF, EXLIF

Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular and respiratory conditions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as required

Participate in call rotations as assigned

Maintain accurate documentation using Medhost EHR

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and Joint Commission standards
