s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions).
This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff who are doing important work every day.

Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Developing and implementing communications programs / campaigns and preparing informational materials to support them.
OR BA / BS Degree in Public affairs, soil conservation, natural resources, journalism,
- Valid State Driver?s license
- Experience required with MS Word
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), digital photography, videography, and Social Media tools (Twitter, Hootsuite, Facebook).
Duties :
The incumbent will use specialized experience in communications practices and techniques to assist the lead state Public Affairs Specialist in planning / executing an effective public information program throughout the state.
Activities will include but are not limited to, coordination of public participation activities and direct support of field office outreach / program delivery.
Note : This position has the option of working remotely however, will occasionally work in the office as requested.
- Writes / edits informational articles and success stories for inclusion in newsletters, annual reports, and other publications highlighting state activities and obtains accompanying photographs / videotapes of agency projects and agricultural methods. 35%
- Assists state Public Affairs Specialist, State Office, and Field Offices in planning and executing outreach events focused on historically underserved customers, employee recruitment, and volunteer recruitment. 35%
- Uses desktop publishing software to develop brochures, fact sheets, graphics, exhibits, and presentations to educate producers and partners about programs and services. 20%
- Assist in providing informational items towards Health and Wellness. 10%
Other :
- Annual information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training.
- Travel Requirements : Some travel to Field Offices or Farms to gather information, visuals, and data to be use for stories and outreach.
- Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
