Responsibilities :
Underwriting New Business Opportunities :
Evaluate incoming submissions and determine if they align with our underwriting appetite.Assess risk factors, pricing, and profitability to make informed decisions.
Prepare and issue quotes and binders for new business.
Renewal Management :
Handle assigned renewals by reviewing current policy status, conditions, and pricing.Gather updated information and take appropriate action.
Ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service to agents.
Relationship Building :
Cultivate strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients.Provide a high level of customer service and accountability.
Tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each stakeholder.
Qualifications : Experience :
Experience :
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial underwriter, preferably in the agricultural or farm insurance industry.
Proven track record of successfully underwriting new business and managing renewals.
Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills to interact with brokers and clients.Independence and confidence in decision-making.
Education :
While formal education is not the primary focus, a relevant degree or industry certifications are advantageous.
