About the team and the role :

Join the dynamic Selling team at eBay, where we empower sellers to manage their listings efficiently through cutting-edge iOS applications. As a Sr. iOS Engineer, you will be a pivotal player in the design, development, and maintenance of these applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver innovative solutions that improve the seller experience. The role reports directly within the Selling team, known for its innovative culture and dedication to work-life balance.

What you will accomplish :

Drive significant improvements in seller experiences by crafting and implementing robust, scalable iOS applications that handle high-performance demands.

Work in partnership with product managers and designers to launch features that improve usability and seller happiness.

Optimize application performance to ensure seller tools are responsive and efficient.

Lead initiatives in code quality assurance through effective practices like code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.

Stay ahead of iOS trends and technologies, sharing insights and innovations with the team to foster continuous growth.

Mentor junior engineers, encouraging an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What you will bring :

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.

At least 8+ years of professional iOS development experience with proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.

Skillful experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Graphics.

Familiarity with connecting iOS applications to backend services via RESTful APIs.

Comprehensive understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.

Ability to solve and refine application performance and memory usage with tools like Instruments.

Knowledgeable about agile development methodologies and standard processes in code versioning through tools like Git.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below :

$132,000 - $222,100

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
