Location : Jacksonville, NC 28546 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : Nights, 4x12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Holiday and Weekend Coverage : Required

No On-Call Required

Charting System : Meditech

Orientation : 16 hours

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1800–$1930

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

CPI certification required

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Ability to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed

Experience with Meditech charting preferred

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

Travel nurses must live at least 50 miles from facility

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit

Monitor and assess mothers and infants throughout all stages of labor and delivery

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records

Support patients and families with education and emotional care during the childbirth process

Float to units with similar or lower acuity as needed
