Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 30 PM

Tue 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 30 PM

Wed 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 30 PM

Sat 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 30 PM

Sun 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or security-related incidents.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues within the assigned area.
  • Assist visitors and tenants with directions and information as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Complete detailed reports documenting security-related incidents and activities during the shift.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
