Artificial Intelligence / Cloud Computing Full-Time Tenure Track Faculty

Responsibilities

Harper College seeks a full-time faculty member to teach and develop courses in Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing. This position supports innovative programs that prepare students for high-demand technology careers. The Artificial Intelligence / Cloud Computing Faculty member is a full-time, tenure-track appointment responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and student support within newly established AI and Cloud Computing programs. The faculty member will deliver high-quality, learner-centered instruction across credit courses and certificates, foster industry-aligned skill development, and contribute to the growth of innovative programs that prepare students for emerging careers in technology.

• Teach a range of courses in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Data Analytics, and related areas.
• Design, develop, and update curriculum to reflect current industry practices, workforce needs, and accreditation requirements.
• Incorporate hands-on labs, simulations, and project-based learning that integrate cutting-edge technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Engage students in applied learning opportunities including internships, capstone projects, and industry partnerships.
• Assess student performance through clear learning outcomes and maintain accurate records in compliance with college policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, advisory committees, and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevancy and alignment with workforce demands.
• Participate in program review, accreditation, and grant-funded initiatives (e.g., Perkins V, ICCB Form 21).
• Provide student support, career guidance, and mentoring to students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable access and student success.
• Engage in professional development to remain current with advancements in AI / Cloud technologies and pedagogy.
