Field Manager (Utility)

Overview

Field Manager (Utility) – Exempt. Salary Range : $100,000 – $122,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications. Experience : 8+ Years. Reports to : Department Manager. Reporting / Project Location : Trenton, NJ.

Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision, the Field Manager directs and oversees a group of one or more field personnel within a state, region, or specific project. This individual must be able to effectively communicate with Clients, staff, project managers, leadership and contractors. Candidates shall have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of applicable local, county, and state rules, regulations and industry practices. Candidates must also have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods. The Field Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of a project team in support of the project's profitable operation. Additionally, the Field Manager will be responsible for proactively managing the project technical budget (labor, expenses and sub-consultants), schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications, and successful delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the Client's satisfaction on every project.

• Responsible for consistency and professionalism at all times.
• Actively manages project scope, schedule, and budget. Serves as the primary Client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to successful completion and to the Client's satisfaction.
• Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed by project team. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.
• Stays informed of developments and requirements affecting the organization and projects and relays the same to project team and Client promptly.
• Develops standards and guidelines.
• Maintains standards for safety across entire territory.
• Schedules all crews and resources within Deltek.
• Manages equipment resources and allocation, if applicable.
• Capable of establishing working relationships with new teams and new Clients to be dependable and trustworthy.
• Attends project meetings with Clients and internal teams and ensure noted items are addressed properly.
• Trains new hires including entry level and established field technicians and / or construction observers.
• Responsible to maintain existing standards and make recommendations for new and / or revised standards, as needed.
• Expected to utilize innovative hardware and software for the creation, review, management, and posting of necessary reports.
• Can manage multiple crews and multiple projects as required.
