A Quality Control Inspector in the Worcester, MA area is needed for a multinational power management company. The position involves performing dimensional and visual inspections, maintaining quality records, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with quality standards in a manufacturing environment, requiring analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
responsibilities :
- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of fabricated parts.
- Conduct receiving inspection of incoming materials (raw & repairs).
- Maintain quality records.
- Interpret customer and supplier requirements (internal & external).
- Certify Quality Control paperwork.
- Read and interpret blueprints of fabricated parts.
- Use small hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and drop indicators.
Skills :
- Ability to read and understand formal, informal, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in using small hand tools.
- strong communication and organizational skills.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Receive information from team members regarding customer needs and product requirements and utilize this information to perform job functions.
- Basic computer knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and programs.
Education and Experience :
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in quality function or utilizing dimensional tolerancing.
