Responsibilities Position is in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital Level I Trauma Center with over 1,000 beds Night shift with 3x12 hour shifts per week (19 : 00-07 : 00) Average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 6 for both days and nights Requires floating within scope to meet facility needs Assigned to one campus but may rotate to others if needed Travelers do not work in trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is preferred but not required Weekend shifts required every other weekend On-call is not required Travelers are obligated to participate in emergency response activities when needed Pre-assignment modules required and completed prior to start RTO (requests for time off) up to 7 days are auto-approved; more than 7 days requires special approval Makeup shifts required for missed scheduled weekend shifts; must be completed per facility policy Parking is available for $125 per month Flu vaccine declinations are not accepted First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Scrubs or specific dress code requirements not specified Block scheduling may be accommodated Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if applied prior to consideration) TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred; 1.5 years accepted if from a similar Level I Trauma Center or with prior travel experience Trauma Center experience at a large facility is required Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless religious / medical exemption is provided Must provide one professional reference Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Previous permanent staff must have been gone for at least 2 years to be eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630813.
