American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in California, requiring a CA RN license and the ability to circulate cesarean sections.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
  • Care for a culturally diverse and high-risk OB patient population
  • RNs circulate on cesarean sections
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 18 : 00-06 : 30) with every other weekend required
  • Floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
  • Epic EMR is used and previous experience is required
  • Responsibilities include providing care for high-risk obstetric patients and circulating during cesarean sections
  • Night shift schedule requiring coverage of at least two major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year
  • Scrubs in any solid color are allowed, with Royal Blue or Navy preferred
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Modules must be completed prior to start and annually
  • RTO must be requested at the time of application; minimal approved RTO is allowed
  • Travelers expected to float between all facilities within the state
  • Free parking is provided on the first day with assignment of parking during orientation

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of application
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Labor and Delivery experience
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Experience with Epic EMR required
  • Must provide two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years
  • Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
