Hasbro Children's, an affiliated teaching hospital of Brown University, has an opening for a board certified or eligible physician trained in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics to join our academic teaching team in the primary care clinic in downtown Providence.
About the job :
- Time is 50% teaching as part of the clinical team, 50% caring for your own panel of patients; we are the primary care continuity site for the Brown Combined Medicine-Pediatrics residency program
- Join 6 other attendings as you train 16 med-peds residents
- Onsite behavioral health, social work, and pharmacy
- Strong, experienced nursing team and medical assistants shared in the group
- See a full range of ages from newborn to geriatrics with diverse backgrounds, providing preventive care, urgent care, and management of chronic conditions; outpatient procedures include I&D, simple lac repairs, arthrocentesis and Nexplanon placement and removal.
- Call is 5 times per month by phone only with residents taking first call
- Patient visits are 30 minutes
- Brown academic appointment commensurate with experience; our division faculty are core faculty for the Brown Combined Medicine-Pediatrics residency program

The Medicine Pediatrics Primary Care Center is the continuity training site for the Brown Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency program and operates on a shared attending-resident model. Our team includes on-site psychologists, social work, pharmacists. We serve a diverse patient population of all ages, languages, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and countries of origin. Our 9000+ visits per year include urgent care, preventive care and chronic condition management. We provide a range of reproductive health services.
