Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving transformation at Capital One. You'll lead a team of talented developers, utilizing your extensive expertise in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create impactful solutions, particularly in meeting our regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do :

Lead diverse technology projects, guiding a skilled team in developing solutions that meet the company’s regulatory needs.

Share your enthusiasm for cutting-edge tech trends, experiment with new technologies, mentor fellow engineers, and actively participate in coding when required.

Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial well-being.

Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML / CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with various AWS tools, services, and databases including Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree.

A minimum of 6 years of engineering experience (internships excluded).

At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree.

9+ years of experience with at least one of the following : JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.

4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud services.

4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.

1+ years of people management experience.

2+ years of experience utilizing Agile methodologies.

This role will be located in McLean, VA or Richmond, VA.
