Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Overview

A leading organization in Tech SaaS space is seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across the company. This role will be instrumental in driving data-informed decision-making and supporting long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports to communicate financial results and projections.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business cases, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting systems.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably within media, publishing, or technology sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
