Overview

Are you ready to build your career by joining a multi-national MedTech organization? Our client is hiring a Senior Engineering Project Manager. Position Type : Contract. Onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Manages projects with responsibility for successful execution.
  • Executes the project within the defined requirements (e.g., budget, time, functionality).
  • Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer and ensures professional stakeholder management.
  • Ensures timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
  • Manages a network of technical specialists in order to realize customer specific components, systems or solutions.
  • Coordinates the Engineering disciplines and the cooperation with involved regional Engineering units including their interfaces.
  • Performs technical risk management.
  • Acts as interface e.g. responsible for technical risks and opportunities.
  • Impacts : Financial performance and business risk — medium. Contractual Complexity of project — low. Technical Complexity — medium. Organization complexity — low.
  • Typical Budget (accountably managed) : 2.5 M EUR to 7 M EUR p.a.
  • Typical Budget (influenced as key contributor) : higher volume.
  • Facilitates the execution of project / program solution plan for complex projects or programs.
  • Responsible for delivery of complex project / program plans.
  • Supports the project / program management role (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation management) for complex projects or programs.
  • Acts as a functional or business process resource on projects or programs.
  • Facilitates execution of continuous improvement plan.
  • May perform active role in maintaining client relationships and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (such as mechanical, biomedical, software, or electrical) or other STEM degree (such as Biology, Chemistry, etc.).
  • Sustaining R&D, R&D and / or Manufacturing engineering experience with the medical devices.
  • Excellent project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and work well with teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Monday.com, Jira).
  • Documentation skills, DHF experience.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and resilience under pressure.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Engineering background preferred (ideally transitioned from engineering to PM).
  • Medical device industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with design controls, change management, and multi-project environments.
  • Certified as Project Manager, PMP, or equivalent.
