Job Title : Chemical Engineer - Bioprocessing Specialist

Location : San Francisco, CA, USA

Job Type : Full-time

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, prototype and optimize bioprocesses involving flow chemistry and enzyme catalysis.
• Conduct experiments to improve process parameters and outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale up processes from laboratory to production scale.
• Implement and monitor process controls to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to bioprocessing.
• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Stay current with advancements in bioprocessing technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s + 2 years industry experience, Master’s + 1 year industry experience, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in bioprocessing, with a focus on flow chemistry and enzyme applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control standards in the biotechnology industry.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
• Experience with process analytical technology (PAT) and data analysis tools.
