Responsibilities Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) caring for critically ill pediatric patients 12-hour rotating shifts with a combination of days and nights determined with unit leadership Schedule includes every other weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Assignment length is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week Uses Epic EMR system Travelers are expected to work two out of the three major holidays and the time surrounding these dates Must complete a 'Use of Cannabis Disclosure and Acknowledgement' form per Illinois law No block scheduling permitted for this assignment Maximum of 10 days requested time off, must be made up by extending contract as needed Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for PICU roles Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning Former travelers must be gone for at least 45 days before returning Requirements Active, permanent IL RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 3 years PICU or CICU RN experience mandatory Previous travel RN experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible BSN degree required Certifications required : BLS (CPR) and PALS COVID and Flu vaccinations required Must provide two references with one from within the last year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610593.
