Overview
Were seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a short-term assignment supporting project closeout activities at an industrial facility in Fort Worth, TX. This position will temporarily backfill the current CM during maternity leave and focus primarily on final inspections, documentation, and turnover. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience leading construction projects through completion and understands the coordination required between contractors, engineers, and owners to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site activities and ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
- Manage punch list creation, tracking, and closeout ensuring all corrective actions are documented and verified.
- Conduct daily site walks and inspections; monitor work quality and compliance with codes and permits.
- Review submittals, RFIs, and quality documentation; coordinate responses with project engineers.
- Maintain accurate logs, progress reports, and photo documentation of construction progress.
- Facilitate weekly coordination meetings and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
- Track schedule milestones, identify potential delays, and recommend recovery strategies.
- Validate quantities and progress for payment applications and assist in preparing closeout documentation.
- Support review and resolution of change orders, claims, and cost tracking as needed.
- Ensure completion of all required testing, inspections, and warranty documentation.
- Serve as the owners on-site representative, ensuring professional communication and project integrity.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in construction management, preferably with industrial, manufacturing, or distribution projects.Strong understanding of construction sequencing, quality control, and safety management.Proven ability to manage closeout processes and ensure timely project completion.Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and project management software.OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.Why This Role?
