Physiatrist (PM&R) - Oakland

Opportunity Information :

Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking a full-time, non-interventional Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with expertise in back and spine disorders. This physician will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team practicing evidence-based medicine in the management of spinal conditions. The team will include clinicians from multiple disciplines : Physical Medicine, Interventional Pain management, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and physical therapy.

We are seeking a clinician with strong skills in evaluating and managing spinal disorders. Fellowship training or prior clinical experience in this area is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent collaboration skills, contribute clinical expertise, and help shape spine care protocols. While leadership qualities are welcomed, this role is not intended as a managerial or administrative position.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients with spine conditions.
• Triage and consult on new referrals, guiding patients to appropriate care pathways.
• Collaborate closely with neurosurgery, interventional pain, neurology, physical therapy, and other specialists.
• Provide continuity of care and long-term patient follow-up.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols for spine care.
