Role Description : The Wire Processing Assistant Manager will be responsible for understanding and processing bank and client wire transactions through multiple applications.

This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the senior wire processor and wire processors.

This role will report to the Payments Processing Assistant Manager.

In this role you will

• Assist with hiring and training new wire processors
• Manage, schedule employees, monitor staffing levels, and ensure that employees follow the standards and procedures of the bank
• Hold monthly 1 : 1s and complete periodic performance review for wire processors.
• Schedule and hold periodic team meetings sharing important and relevant information with team
• Provide support to internal and external parties when called upon
• Escalate issues to management as well as bank core processor when required and follow through on resolution
• Accurately prepare / process all wires (domestic / international / incoming / outgoing) and service messages within the Lead Bank appointed time frame
• Review and assist in resolving wire related disputes
• Communicate professionally with clients and other Financial Institutions.
• Research and obtain approval to process wires that exceed client limits
• Monitors wires for concerning activity (restricted countries, missing addresses, unusual activity)
• Communicate with correspondent banking relationships as needed
• Assist with audits and daily / monthly reports
• Cross train and provide back-up for certain tasks involving other payment rails specifically related to end of night processing
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Have at least 3-5 years of wire processing experience
• Knowledge of SWIFT messages and the SWIFT network is preferred
• Are action-oriented, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Are curious, have humility, are open to learning and approach your work with a growth mindset
• Thrive working in a fluid environment with high autonomy
• Display exceptional communication skills while offering client support to internal and external clients
• Have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to make judgements with the information provided
