Global Responsibility Lead, FoodShare & Hunger Relief

The Food Waste Reduction & Hunger Relief team supports this vision by helping to reduce food loss & waste while supporting hunger relief around the world. We are looking for a new team member passionate about solving food waste and supporting hunger relief in communities. This team member must have strong project management, NGO relationship management, data analysis, and communication skills to help us manage the implementation of food rescue programs, including the FoodShare food donation program available at 100% of US company-owned Starbucks stores.
As a global responsibility lead, you will :
- Oversee, plan and manage multiple projects related to food rescue / hunger relief programs (including FoodShare at US Company Owned stores), ensuring they stay on track, within budget, with the appropriate cross functional teams, and meet quality standards.
- Manage the strategy and execution of workstreams that build and maintain relationships with 45 food banks and 300 food rescue organization partners, including managing and tracking trends with issues management; developing and implementing rhythm of business; and deployment, monitoring and evaluation of Capacity grants utilizing grant management software. Travel to food bank partners or industry convenings anticipated at 15-20%.
- Act as a bridge between impact teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication including project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations of stakeholders.
- Adept at identifying and resolving technical and project-related problems, leveraging technical knowledge and applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Anticipate needs and adapt to changing demands of a dynamic field, team and enterprise. Excited to support special projects and new initiatives that support our overall road map to our sustainability and community impact goals.
