Sr Node.js Engineer
Employment type : Full time OR contractor
Multiple open positions as we set up new scrum teams. Selected applicants will be hired in Engineer, Senior Engineer & Lead Engineer roles depending on their qualifications and experience level.
Qualifications :
- Backend Services / API Developer skilled in programming server-side javascript running on Nodejs Runtime
- Must demonstrate strong skills in Javascript, Express.Js, Webpack, and OAuth
- Experience in cross-platform development with strong knowledge of Node.js
- Knowledge of Microservices and respective architecture design principles and scalability best practices
- Experience or knowledge of GraphQL is not mandatory, but desired.
- Experience with Open-Source work management tools JIRA, Jenkins, and GitHub
- Ability to work in an Agile / SCRUM environment
- Self-directed with a start-up / entrepreneur mindset
Responsibilities :
- Design, implementation, and ongoing enhancements of digital products and enhancing the digital experience
- Have a strong and continuously evolving technical mastery of RESTful API development focused on Node.js
- Hands-on programming, participating in design sessions, code reviews, and system testing during various phases of development, following best industry practices, and publishing API documentation
- Design APIs, develop shippable code, documentation, and unit test new features for digital products
- Works with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, and Architects to deliver features through the creation of re-usable RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with Quality, Product, and Cloud Engineering teams to keep digital assets fully functional, secure, and up-to-date with business needs.
