Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
Install and maintain wiring, control systems, lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
Diagnose electrical problems using test equipment and hand tools.
Ensure compliance with the California Electrical Code and local building codes.
Perform inspections of existing electrical systems and suggest improvements or upgrades.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Collaborate with other construction professionals such as HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general contractors.
Adhere to all health and safety standards, including PPE and OSHA compliance.
Required Qualifications :
Valid California Journeyman Electrician Certification issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
Minimum 4 years of on-the-job electrical experience or completion of a certified apprenticeship program.
Strong knowledge of the California Electrical Code and National Electrical Code (NEC) .
Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with solar systems, EV charging stations, or smart home systems.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus.
Work Environment :
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
Physically demanding : must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb, and stand for long periods.
Salary info : $50 - $55 / hr
