Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Robert Half is working with a client in the construction industry to hire a highly capable Full-Charge Bookkeeper. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can independently manage bookkeeping tasks, support financial reporting, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Key Responsibilities :
- Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, including managing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and verifying entries.
- Manage payroll processing and associated reporting in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Process journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Oversee and track fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory control if applicable.
- Assist with financial audits by preparing documentation and communicating with auditors.
- Prepare and file state and federal tax returns, including sales and payroll taxes.
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to support overall financial planning.
- Collaborate with management on cash flow analysis and financial strategies.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.5+ years of comprehensive bookkeeping or accounting experience in a similar role.Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders across departments.Previous experience in the construction or small business industry is a plus but not required.
