Grant Development Manager
The Colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LA&S) brings together strategy, operations, and campus innovation across the Colleges of Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Science. Established in 2025, LA&S enhances the impact of staff functions across the university while addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities in higher education.
The Grant Development Manager plays a key role in advancing research and scholarship by providing comprehensive pre-award research administration support to faculty pursuing external funding. Working collaboratively with college and departmental research administrators, this position will focus primarily on supporting social science and humanities faculty. Core pre-award duties include identifying and disseminating funding opportunities, assisting with proposal development and submission, preparing budgets and justifications, ensuring compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines, and coordinating internal review and approval processes.
In addition to serving faculty within LA&S, the Grant Development Manager will collaborate closely with pre-award professionals in the Office of the Vice President for Research and across the university to share best practices, streamline processes, and strengthen the overall research infrastructure.
