Intake Specialist

A company is looking for an Intake Specialist who is responsible for managing patient referrals and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately enters referrals and communicates with referral sources and patients regarding documentation and financial responsibilities

Reviews medical records for compliance and works with community referral sources to facilitate the referral process

Supervises team members, conducts training, monitors performance metrics, and develops process improvements

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred

One (1) year of work-related experience in healthcare administration or related fields

Experience in healthcare organizations, insurance billing, or similar environments

Advanced knowledge of Medicare guidelines and payer policies

Proficiency with computers and healthcare software applications
