Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705.

The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

Working directly with personnel from enrollment management, and utilizing the expertise and resources of Enrollment Management, Institutional Research and Information Technology, the EMSS Data Analyst is· responsible for implementing the research and reporting agenda for enrollment management in accordance with each unit's strategic goals and objectives.

Activities include data quality initiatives, data-warehousing strategies, and other data management activities, data analysis, and report development leveraging such tools as ARGOS, Banner, PL / SQL and other university resources.

While focusing on the needs of enrollment management, the EMSS Data Analyst works closely with colleagues from Institutional Research and Information Technology to ensure that all reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and technical efficiency.

This close collaboration ensures that data, coming from single sources, are consistent across all University reports, and that they are in compliance with all Federal and State requirements and standards.

This position reports to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success, but with limited day-to-day direct supervision.

Therefore, the position requires an experienced professional with significant expertise and initiative.

Responsibilities Serve as a member of the Enrollment Management Leadership Team that is responsible for the strategic direction and goal-setting for the Enrollment Management unit.

Responsible for collaborating and consultation with undergraduate recruitment and student data projects. This includes trend analysis, forecasting, and providing data sets.

Respond to statistical requests accurately and within reasonable timeframe. Assist with conducting admissions validity studies in coordination with external agencies (e.

g., College Board, ACT).

Support the activities and priorities of all third-party vendors responsible for assisting with financial aid leveraging and student recruitment predictive modeling.

Assist in. preparing presentations of data to support strategic and operational planning and decision making.

Create and maintain statistical models of student flow through the university and use those models to simulate the effect of proposal changes to university practice, as well as make short-term and long-term enrollment projections based on explicit assumptions. ·

Create and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPls) for enrollment and retention of students overall and by subgroups. .

Integrate concepts and data from various sources such as institutional database, EAB, the College Board, ACT, National Student Clearinghouse, IPEDS (Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System), and other national data banks to create analyses that serve the university's enrollment management needs.

Expanding and sustaining automated processes and interactive reporting capabilities to the university community, including providing training opportunities for end users.

Produce executive-level reports including an annual study of matriculating and non-matriculating admitted students.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in information sciences, information management, or related field

A minimum of five years relevant work experience in higher education and / or closely related field

Demonstrated experience in quantitative research methodology and data analysis, including logistic regression

Strong analytical and logical thinking skills; demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems

Strong background in applied use of various statistical tools (e.g. SPSS, SAS, SQL, Access, Excel)

Experience using data for strategic planning purposes

Experience with project management and data warehouse concepts

Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality of information

Preferred Qualifications

Broad understanding and current knowledge of enrollment trends, enrollment management, and issues in higher education is preferred

Proposed Salary

Salary Range is from $42,000 to $52,000
