• Location : Plano, TX 75075 (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex)\n
• Healthcare Setting : Ortho Trauma Specialty Med Surg Unit (36 beds)\n
• Assignment Length : 13 weeks (August 25, 2025 – November 24, 2025)\n
• Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
• Hours per Week : 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1360-$1460\n
• Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs\n
• Weekend Requirement : 4 weekends during assignment\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg nursing experience required\n
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
• Experience with orthopedic nursing and / or trauma patients preferred\n
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR preferred\n
• Strong teamwork, clinical, and communication skills\n\nOrthopedic RN Responsibilities\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients in a 36-bed Med Surg unit\n
• Manage patient ratios of 1 : 5 (occasionally flexing to 1 : 6) to ensure safe, effective care\n
• Monitor and administer Heparin and Protonix drips as required\n
• Care for patients with polytrauma, non-surgical cervical fractures, downgraded traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and burn downgrades\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including spine, orthopedic, and trauma specialists\n
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed to support patient care\n
